Highlights of Sam’s Story

Sam Lenes, a Finance and Marketing major at PBA, came to Palm Beach Atlantic University from Waterford, Connecticut with a desire to grow academically and personally. During his freshman year, he took a bold step and started his own company, Rolling Hills Coffee Co.

Through the support of the Rinker School of Business, Sam was connected with Aramark, the campus food service provider. This opportunity allowed him to expand his business while still in college. As he continued developing his company, he was able to apply what he was learning in class—finance, marketing, and accounting—directly to real-world entrepreneurship.

For Sam, the mission behind his company goes beyond simply selling coffee. Rolling Hills Coffee Co. is built on the idea of serving others and supporting communities across the supply chain—from the farmers who grow the beans to the customers enjoying a cup of coffee. His vision is to use business as a way to bring light and opportunity to communities that need it most.

Sam credits PBA for giving him the environment to grow as a business leader and as a person. Through relationships with faculty, staff, and fellow students, he encountered God throughout his college experience and gained the confidence to pursue his calling.

His God-Sized dream is to serve as many people as possible through his business while building communities and leaving no one behind.
